Lead Phlebotomist – Mobile Blood Drives Jobs

Determines donor suitability through various screening requirements such as temperature, blood pressure and pulse.

Primary responsibilities for role (level-specific responsibilities should be included in the chart below):

Greets donors, answers phone calls, and assists with donors beginning the donation process

Performs hematocrit testing as required, including the handling of the specimen, performing the test and analyzing the results

Customer service experience required. Intern and/or externship experience will satisfy this requirement.

Previous blood banking experience or medical field experience a plus

Bilingual skills and CDL driver a plus

Detail-oriented in regards to document review (completeness, accurate, and legibly written), able to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks

High school diploma or equivalent

Prefer background in a highly regulated industry

Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, ASPT, NHA, etc.)

Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting

Draw blood from veins by vacuum tube or butterfly venipuncture methods

Greet customers, explain services, adhere to the schedule, verify ID/insurance

On Site wellness station setup and breakdown

Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes

Six months of phlebotomy experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communicates with ordering personnel (physician, nursing staff, unit clerks, etc.) to clarify test orders and aid in order entry.

Pay rate: Starting wage of $16.00/hr (and more with experience)

Deliver an outstanding donation experience by exceeding donor expectations.

Perform record review and data entry.

Licenses and/or Certifications Phlebotomy certification preferred

No prior specific work experience required.

Prefer phlebotomy experience in a blood or plasma center.

Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, ASPT, NHA, etc.)

Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting

Must possess or achieve within first 90 days a Company-approved CPR/First Aid course and maintain the certification

On-the-job training provided; no experience required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
