The Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) must be qualified in the:

Performs management activities across multiple (two or more) Quality Management Job Families

Provides education and coaching on the Quality System

Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements

Manages, develops and motivates employees

5+ years of experience directly managing people

5+ years of experience managing complex project schedules and managing large scale program and projects

Plans flight assignments and obtains briefing information regarding purpose of the flight, weather, operating procedures and special instructions.

Conducts a start of shift briefing with the assigned medical, communications and ground personnel.

Ensures cargo is properly secured and emergency equipment are aboard.

Files, activates and closes the flight plans.

Ensures proper completion of flight logs, records and maintenance forms.

Logs all mechanical discrepancies as they occur and informs maintenance personnel.

Ensures aircraft meets the FAA regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of local laws, ordinances, rules, and

Knowledge of first aid methods and general regulations effective in the County. emergency methods. Radio codes, signals, Unit identifications

At least nineteen (19) years of age (SWORN)

A citizen of the United States (SWORN)

A high school graduate or its equivalent

Must have knowledge of flight characteristics and systems of aircraft flown, and skill in the operation of rotary-wing aircraft. .

Report Information: Be clear and concise in oral and written communication. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and expertise in report/flight log preparation.

Current Class II medical certification.

Must possess flight experience in rotorcraft operations or acceptable equivalence.

Must possess or be able to obtain Class I law enforcement certification within one year of hire date.

Must have knowledge of FAA regulations.

FAA Commercial Pilot Rotorcraft Certificate and Instrument Helicopter Rating (Airline Transport Pilot Rotorcraft Preferred)

FAA 2nd Class Medical (1st Class required at some locations)

Total Flight Time = 2,000 hours

FAA part 135 experience Preferred

Experience in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and night operation Required

Operates an Spectrum Health Hospitals aircraft.

Maintains required documentation per FAA / company standards.

Maintain accountability for the safety of aircraft operations.

Demonstrates commitment to patient and team member safety. Considers safety as the primary factor in all decisions.
