Disassembles, inspects, cleans, repairs, calibrates, tests, and performs periodic maintenance of specialty equipment, systems and controls.

Operates electronic test equipment, including multimeters, frequency generators and counters, galvanometers, digital logic probes, and oscilloscopes.

Performs complex repairs or coordinates the removal of instruments/devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance.

Fixes/services or resolves problems while performing unscheduled work, as necessary.

Records and reports abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment and initiates corrective action and documentation.

Experience reading, interpreting, and following technical drawings, schematics and written work instructions/procedures.

Leading job site safety programs and performs complex site surveys to develop maintenance plans.

Complete and submit detailed reports covering all job activity.

Review complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provide continual mentorship throughout task duration.

Performs service and maintenance of equipment sold in the United States

Travels to customer sites to install, maintain, inspect and repair equipment

Assists with in-house assembly and related activities

Follows instructions and duties as requested by supervisor

Valid Driver’s License is required

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - CONTROLS

May provide service education to customer’s service and operations staff.

Ensures that parts are available and as specified for service requirements.

Completes service, expense reports, and other administrative responsibilities in accordance with Cymer’s procedures and with supervisor’s approval.

AAS or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

4 years of relevant field experience preferred

Laser and vacuum experience preferred.

Technical education in the field of mechanical, electrical or IT engineering is required

Preferred: experience as a field-based service engineer – preferably in the semiconductor industry supporting complex optical or vacuum equipment

Experience with FAB cleanroom protocol

Experience with mask making equipment is preferred

Advanced math skills and ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form is required.
