Director Of Merchandising Hardlines Jobs

Maintain accountability for all inventory management with guidance from General Merchandise Manager

Manage high volume of purchase orders from aspects of purchase order creation, inventory logistics, receiving, and allocation

Allocation of merchandise to stores with forethought of an omni-channel service

Develop promotions and marketing concepts to drive merchandise sales

Build strong vendor partnerships and assist in negotiation of prices and credit terms

Work closely with Marketing and ecommerce teams to drive merchandise sales in-stores and online

Knowledge of space management software tools and capabilities

Any category management (assortment, pricing and sales planning) experience

Any experience managing and leading groups of administrative managers

Coordinate Category Managers' (CMs) efforts across strategic and financial initiatives; manage a cohesive vision

Sign-off and guide assortment strategy within respective areas; tie to a unified customer experience across all channels

Work on company initiatives / special programs that benefit merchandising long-term, including testing

Superior taste level and premium marketplace experience needed; knowledge of the apparel, accessories and western market understanding a must-have.

Elevate merchant competencies, capabilities, and commercial acumen.

5+ years of Merchandise Leadership experience with experience managing multiple product categories.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work in a cross functional environment.

Attract and coach merchants to drive both revenue and personal development success.

Knowledgeable on display and sign standards for end caps and drive aisle displays.

Knowledgeable on product assortment, marketing events and promotions.

Demonstrates strong skill set in suggestive selling techniques. Uses the P.A. system effectively to promote advertised goods.

Strong reading, writing, verbal, and arithmetic skills.

Ensures customer care and selling are #1 priority.

Ensures that promotional programs and ads are maintained, signed and replenished for the entire event or ad.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or related work experience

End-to-end merchandising experience in procurement, demand forecasting and planning, and vendor relations preferably within eCommerce is required

Powerful collaboration and communication skills

Outstanding conceptual and problem-solving skills
