Responsibilities of the MDS Nurse:

Salary: $35.00 - 45.00/hr depending on experience and licensure

Oversee utilization of interdisciplinary rehab team process in the formulation of MDS/RAI's.

If you are relying on your education to meet qualification requirements:

National Certification in Nurse Education or Staff Development highly desired.

Should be prepared to provide evidence-based education, in-services, needs assessments and evaluation of both current and new staff.

Possess organizational skills that will enable the completion of assigned work in a timely manner, demonstrate exceptional leadership and initiative.

Assesses the learning needs of others and plans/organizes educational activities and goals.

Develops written plans for educational programs in compliance with accrediting agency policies and procedures, implements plans utilizing adult learning principles.

Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with experience in stroke care preferred

Certification in Stroke Nursing preferred

Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Conduct observations and interviews as well as evaluations required for MDS and/or care plan preparations.
