Job Title: Registered Nurse - Stroke Coordinator

**Sign On Bonus $2500**

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team as a Stroke Coordinator. The primary role of the Stroke Coordinator is to oversee the stroke program in our hospital and ensure that our stroke patients receive the best possible care. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the appropriate care, education, and resources.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with community organizations and healthcare providers to promote stroke awareness and prevention
  • Facilitate timely and appropriate responses to stroke alerts
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care
  • Participate in stroke research and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on stroke prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Track and report stroke outcomes and quality metrics
  • Develop policies and procedures for stroke care based on evidence-based best practices
  • Coordinate stroke care across a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Certification in Stroke Nursing preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with experience in stroke care preferred
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of stroke pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Current RN license in the state of Delaware
