Developing and maintaining the skill, discipline and integrity of team during games and practice through effective coaching.

Assistant Coach must read, acknowledge, sign, and follow the NJCAA Coaching Principles, Coaching Creed, and the NJCAA Coaching Excellence Contract.

Three (3) years’ experience in coaching preferred at the college level.

Prior experience instructing and coaching, preferably at the Division I level

Comprehensive knowledge of sports, specifically Soccer

Requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or coaching experience.

Recruits high level academically and athletically skilled students to attend Rutgers and to participate on the women’s soccer team.

Knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of women’s soccer.

High school or collegiate soccer coaching and playing experience preferred.

Knowledge of Big Ten Conference and NCAA regulations.

Assists in establishing and maintaining a nationally competitive intercollegiate women’s soccer team in the Big Ten and the NCAA .

Knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of men’s soccer.

Coaching experience at the intercollegiate level preferred.

Assists in establishing and maintaining a nationally competitive intercollegiate men’s soccer program within the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA .

Works closely with and handles alumni events and outreach for the Men’s Soccer Program.

Assists in fundraising and public relations events that support the objectives of the program and allow for program enhancements.

Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.

Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports management, business administration or a similar sports or business-related field or the equivalent.

Assist players in creating impactful player profiles, highlight reels, and resumes to showcase their skills and achievements to college coaches.

College soccer playing experience minimum (College coaching experience strongly preferred)

Fluency and excellent communication skills in English.

Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
