Overview A Youth Correctional Officer is responsible for the safety and security of juvenile offenders in a correctional facility. They are responsible for monitoring the behavior of the juveniles, enforcing rules and regulations, and providing guidance and support. They must be able to recognize and respond to potential security threats, and be able to de-escalate situations when necessary. They must also be able to provide guidance and support to the juveniles, helping them to develop positive behaviors and attitudes. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a physical exam

Job Experience
• Previous experience working with juveniles in a correctional setting is preferred
• Previous experience in a law enforcement or security role is preferred
