Ymca Ayrlawn Senior Camp Counselor Jobs in Iowa

Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.

Previous experience working with children preferably in a resident camp setting

CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.

Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.

This is a seasonal, stipend-pay position at $390-$410/week depending on experience; lodging and meals included.

Responsible for the safety, health, and well-being of a cottage of campers.

Prior supervisory experience in a day camp setting and two season’s experience as a counselor

Skilled in teaching a variety of crafts, songs, stories, games, sports, aquatics and related camp activities
