The position requires excellent communication skills, pay close attention to detail and understand our operation’s logistics processes.

Must maintain yard organization as specified by the Warehouse manager.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred

One (1) year driving experience (Class A CDL): Preferred

Must be aware of all loaded and empty trailers within property and communicate information to warehouse personnel.

One year of prior driving experience operating tractor trailer vehicles

Drive truck to transport trailers and to and from DC docks for loading, unloading and storage purposes

Complete Driver’s Daily Checklist on vehicle prior to starting each shift and report any mechanical defects

Adhere to corporate, departmental and regulatory operation and safety standards

Maintain availability to work varied shifts, weekends and overtime

Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.

Sort cargo received by account or intended location and store in proper location. Accurately label freight to destination.

Maintain clean work area. Clean out trailers if needed prior to moving them.

Verify and report damages as discovered. Perform daily yard check.

Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications

Minimum of six months commercial driving experience preferred

Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments

Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor

Load, unload, or merge loads between environments

Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers

A minimum 1 year of safe driving experience

$25/hour to start for CDL-A drivers, $22/hour for Non-CDL drivers.

Perform frequent equipment inspections/preventive maintenance checks reporting any defects

Maintain records involving trailer numbers, staging sheets, seal numbers, gross and net weights

Minimum of 1-year tractor/trailer experience (3 axle tractor, 53' trailer)

Valid driver’s license. Clean driving record and insurable

Excellent work ethic & team player – levelheaded, detail-oriented, safety contentious, courteous, flexible, punctual, professional, and customer-focused.

No more than 3 pts. on license & no significant violations in the last three years.

Position trucks and trailer at the appropriate dock location.

Turn on refer units and ensure the units are functioning properly.

Ensure the cooler and freezer areas of the trailer are at appropriate temperatures prior to products being loaded.

Hook tractors with assigned trailers.

Deliver truck to fuel island for re-fueling purposes.

Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)

Pay up to $22 an hour depending on experience

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

1+ years Foodservice distribution industry experience

Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Completes trailer sanitation prior to reloading if needed (e.g. preparation, disposal of trash, sweeping, pressure washing).

Picks up local backhauls when necessary, and/or makes deliveries to customers or vendors.

Earn $22.50 per hour plus overtime

Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors

Oberlin Landfill at $22 dollars per hour working 6:30am to 4:30pm.
