Required Education and Occupational Experiences
Diploma in Welding from an accredited community college or technical school *or* five (5) years of documented welding work experience.
Must have three (3) years of welding work experience within the past seven (7) years.
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills along with computer skills.
Current American Welding Society Certification strongly preferred.
Teaching experience at a post-secondary institution is strongly desired.

They must also be able to use a variety of welding equipment, such as arc welders, gas welders, and plasma cutters. Welders must also be able to use safety equipment and follow safety protocols.
