Works toward full certification status in the classes required by the Certification Board
Ability to gain working knowledge of St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission policies and procedures
Ability to gain knowledge of St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission wastewater system and plant operations
Ability to obtain a Wastewater Treatment Class 5A Certification
Operates wastewater treatment plants by monitoring, evaluating, adjusting and maintaining the equipment and systems used in these facilities
Water Treatment System Operator (Part-Time)

Compile data for monthly operating report to in house management and client management.
Self-perform periodic maintenance activities and manage subcontractors for specialized equipment service.
Manage and maintain daily operations logs, inventory, site consumables and vendor service contracts
A related college degree in environmental, process, chemical, mechanical, and/or water treatment system experience
3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of low pressure steam boilers, water treatment equipment, and control systems
