Waste Technician Jobs

Pay Range: $22.07 - $32.99/hr.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)

Location: 10 Environmental Loop Winter Haven, FL 33880

Radioactive waste management experience at a DOE site.

Develop peer-reviewed waste management calculations and technical position papers.

Develop waste management procedures and spreadsheet application tools.

Support external and internal audits and assessments of the waste management program.

May guide and mentor assistant staff members performing Waste Management Specialist functions.

Experience with the review and application of laboratory analysis to characterize the radioactive and chemical constituents of waste.

High School Diploma or GED; and 1 years related experience and/or training; or combination.

1 year work related experience and/or training; or combination.

Immediately reports problems with tools, equipment, or work assignment directly to the supervisor or lead.

Participates in meetings, training and other company-related activities as scheduled.

Seeks out the assistance of a supervisor to address questions and concerns.

Follows all safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.

Salary Range: $77,980 - $118,920 (determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant)

Experience working with the Hazardous Materials Management System or similar material tracking system

Perform inspections of waste management areas and activities

Familiarity with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and Department of Transportation requirements, including inspection and labeling requirements

Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills

Experience in the compilation of Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act reports
