Creating and pitching video concepts

Creatively cutting footage (from existing shows and/or original shoots)

Working with designers and animators

Producing and directing shoots (virtual or in-person)

Working with external vendors (production companies, mixers, composers, etc.)

1-2 years experience editing short form videos for digital outlets

Experience working autonomously in a fast-paced newsroom environment on weekly deadlines

Excellent research skills, including on all social media platforms

Create shareable videos on a variety of topics (i.e., politics, weather, celebrity news, business, features)

Work on quick-turnaround video editing projects, and on bigger evergreen videos, which you will research, write, and edit

Monitor emails sent to the video team and respond accordingly, communicating across various departments (ex. social media)
