Minimum Qualifications For Education & Experience

Knowledge of urban design and planning, design principles, and innovative design practices

Knowledge of application of zoning practices and related laws, regulations, and codes

Coordinate tracking of development activity and infrastructure projects to identify coordinated project implementation opportunities

Collect relevant data, research case studies, and survey best practices and organize this information in a clear, concise format

Species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates

Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer

You have strong problem-solving skills and pay close attention to detail.

You’re willing to learn. We provide ongoing training and assistance in obtaining industry-related certifications.

Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

General knowledge of zoning laws and comprehensive plans.

Must have strong analytical and written communication skills.

Hybrid position with remote work option for portions of the work week.

Assists in the enforcement of local ordinances and in interpreting municipal codes.

Responds to local citizens inquiring about local planning and zoning regulations and ordinances.
