Traveling Construction Apprentice Jobs

Background of technical skills and understanding of multifamily development, retail, healthcare, education etc. projects.

Schedule subcontractors when needed and manage effective communication to avoid delays in operations.

Coordinate resources with other project managers, general superintendent, project engineer, etc.

Create, update, and distribute the project schedule to ensure project milestones are met.

Facilitate change orders and closeout documentation with clients.

Communicate and coordinate with local municipal inspectors, consulting firms, engineering firms, owner representatives, and local utilities.

Demonstrates appropriate skills of a First Year Apprentice.

Maintains compliance with all OSHA, Company, and customer-specific safety requirements.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

May train or supervise others in job duties.

Current OSHA 10 or MSHA Certification preferred.

Three or more years of Journeyman Laborer related experience preferred.

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

6 years of prior relevant construction management experience such as Superintendent, Foreman, etc. or BS with 2+ years relevant experience.

Strong technical background and experience with construction projects, risk mitigation, coordination planning and documentation.

Experience reviewing project drawings and specifications.

Review, document, and report on construction progress to the FAA Resident Engineer.

Monitor construction site safety, and prepare notices of unsafe working conditions.

Perform engineering analysis with respect to code compliance, reliability, maintainability, safety, economy, project specifications, and recommend corrective action where appropriate.

Monitor and maintain the models as needed and report their condition to the job site Construction Manager or Assistant Construction Manager.

Any additional tasks as directed by job site Construction Manager and Assistant Construction Manager.
