Overview Travel Pacu Registered Nurse is a specialized nurse who provides care to patients recovering from surgery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). They are responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support to patients as they recover from their procedure. Detailed Job Description Travel Pacu Registered Nurses are responsible for providing care to patients recovering from surgery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). They must be able to assess the patient’s condition, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and provide emotional support to patients as they recover from their procedure. They must also be able to recognize any potential complications and take appropriate action. Travel Pacu Registered Nurses must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to think quickly and make decisions in a timely manner. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of post-anesthesia care and recovery
• Ability to assess patient condition and monitor vital signs
• Ability to administer medications and provide emotional support
• Ability to recognize potential complications and take appropriate action
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to think quickly and make decisions in a timely manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least two years of experience in post-anesthesia care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of post-anesthesia care and recovery
• Knowledge of medications and their effects
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques
• Knowledge of infection control procedures
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in post-anesthesia care
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in patient assessment and monitoring
• Experience in administering medications
