Transmission Manager Jobs

Travel requirement is based on project location.

Knowledge of transmission line work, foundations and stringing of conductors, and transmission substations and facilities, are all strongly preferred.

This job may require you to work up to 12 hr days, 5 to 6 days a week if project requires

Minimum of 8 to 16 years of experience in the transmission industry.

Independently manage capital projects, ensuring all phases of approved project assignments are completed efficiently and within scope, schedule and budget

Ensures project costs, schedule and scope are managed, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within stakeholder approved project limits

Driving work products by coordinating and working with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables

Experience developing schedules using either MS Project or P6

Strong writing and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with electric power industry and knowledge of business issues associated with power delivery services

Manager of Transmission Planning & Interconnection Engineering - leads project development initiatives including the facilitation of transmission analytics for active projects

Manager of Transmission Planning & Interconnection Engineering - actively involved in the negotiation/amendment of contractual agreements with generation interconnection customers

Manager of Transmission Planning & Interconnection Engineering - leads interactions with the ISOs throughout the lifecycle of the project

Power flow modeling experience with PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, ASPEN, MUST, TARA, and/or PowerWorld

Experience working with ISOs (independent system operator) and/or RTOs (regional transmission organization)

Working knowledge of Utility-scale renewable energy operations (Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, Battery Storage)

Responsible to complete and submit all required permitting DOT documents, when transporting large/heavy material/equipment

Furnish/maintain record of transformer and equipment transported and other records memoranda, as required

Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics systems
