Overview A Transition Specialist is a professional who helps individuals and families transition from one stage of life to another. They provide support and guidance to individuals and families as they move through life changes such as retirement, job loss, divorce, death of a loved one, or relocation. Transition Specialists help individuals and families adjust to their new circumstances and develop strategies to cope with the changes. Detailed Job Description A Transition Specialist is responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals and families as they transition from one stage of life to another. They assess the needs of the individual or family and develop a plan to help them adjust to their new circumstances. Transition Specialists provide emotional support, help individuals and families develop coping strategies, and provide resources and referrals to other professionals as needed. They also provide education and information about the transition process and help individuals and families develop a plan for the future. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred
• Licensure or certification in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred
• Experience working with individuals and families in transition
