Transactions Paralegal Jobs in New York

Processes Civil Service Commission Calendar actions (e.g. for the re-establishment process for exempt status positions).

Responds to inquiries regarding time and attendance and payroll based on new hire/separation transactions.

Updates Chamber Roster with on/offboarding employees.

Updates employees’ supervisors in LATS; help reconcile outstanding timesheet issues.

Answers employee time and attendance questions.

Answers employee payroll questions regarding pay, deductions, and additional pay.

Conduct ad hoc discussions with sector desks, PMs, traders, Legal and Operations etc. to understand proposed transactions, offer compliance guidance, etc.

Experience with fixed income transactions.

Experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other securities laws.

Strong communications skills and team building focus.

3+ years’ experience at a law firm, registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or regulator.

Support the ongoing development and application of the private transactions/conflicts of interest review process.

Experience with cloud and SaaS deals, IT and business process outsourcing, managed services agreements, and other licensing arrangements is highly valued.
