Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, agronomy, life sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Serve as a knowledge expert for their team by identifying specific plant care needs and strategies for the team’s assigned areas.
Supervise, manage, and communicate with volunteers working with the Garden Trail team.
Participates in departmental, Garden, and planning meetings; assist with reports and proposals; continue professional education and participation in professional organizations.
Demonstrated knowledge of automatic irrigation systems, IPM, and pruning practices.
Preferred experience working in a horticulture-based position for a public garden, museum, or display garden.

They are responsible for ensuring that trails are safe and accessible for the public to use. Trail Crews typically work in remote areas and may be required to work in all types of weather conditions. Detailed Job Description The Trail Crew is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of trails and pathways. This includes clearing debris, repairing damaged trails, and ensuring that trails are safe and accessible for the public to use. The Trail Crew may also be responsible for constructing new trails, as well as maintaining existing trails. They may also be responsible for providing educational programs and activities to the public. Job Skills Required
