Overview Technicians and Service Writers are responsible for providing customer service and technical support to customers who are having issues with their vehicles. They diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems, and provide advice and guidance on how to maintain the vehicle. They also provide estimates for repairs and services, and ensure that customers are satisfied with the work performed. Technicians and Service Writers must be able to accurately diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle problems, and must be knowledgeable about the latest technologies and trends in the automotive industry. They must also be able to communicate effectively with customers and explain the repair process in a clear and concise manner. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of automotive systems and components
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems
• Ability to provide accurate estimates for repairs and services
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Automotive technical training or certification
• ASE certification
• Valid driver’s license

Job Experience
• Previous experience as a technician or service writer
• Previous experience in the automotive industry
