Oversees students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on-field excursions.

High school diploma or GED required.

Supervises and manages site operations to assure safety and efficiency.

Manages, directs, and maintains records on the materials, supplies, and equipment, which are necessary to carry out the daily school routine.

Minimum of three completed years as Assistant Principal and/or Central Office experience on or before June 30, 2023.

Education, Training, Experience, Licensure and Certification

Prior school or school district related experience preferred

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, Current First Aid/CPR Card

Manages the District’s electronic flyer distribution system

High School diploma or equivalent

Bilingual Spanish recommended but not required

Bachelor's degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in relevant educational field required.

Valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in appropriate educational field at level T-4 or above required.

Teaches grade relevant, subject matter specific and mandated curriculum.

Prepares lesson plans, instructional aids, and supplemental teaching materials.

Assesses, documents and prepares reports such as achievement progress, grade and classroom performance, and attendance.

Participates in student development and achievement related conferences with parents, students, counselors, teachers, principal, and/or administrators.

Works with managers to ensure the meal management is accurate.

Orientation for Nutrition Employees training must be successfully completed in accordance with Georgia Department of Education requirements.

Minimum of one (1) year of closely related experience is preferred.

Experience in institutional food service is preferred.

Knowledge of nutrition; food handling; preparation; service and sanitation; and all related and established policies and procedures.

Skill in oral and interpersonal communications; inventorying and ordering food service supplies; identifying equipment problems and furthering service requests.

1-3 years previous experience working with individuals with emotional/behavioral challenges in an educational setting.

Training and experience using the tenants and techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Completion of a bachelor’s degree in education, special education, or a related field such as psychology.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including a high degree of confidence giving feedback to students and faculty.

Completion of SafetyCare certification or willingness to do so upon hire.

Familiarity with Elementary Language Arts, Mathematics and Content Area knowledge base.

Bachelor's degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in relevant educational field required.

Valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in appropriate educational field at level T-4 or above required.

Provides administrative and supervisory support to the principal.

Assists with planning, implementation, and coordination of curriculum and all instructional programs and non-instructional programs.

Monitors the discipline of students in accordance with school system procedures.

Coordinates full time equivalent (FTE) processes at local site.

Serves as local site standardized test administration coordinator.

Ensures the classroom environment is safe and conducive to learning.
