The Survey Party Chief is responsible for leading a survey crew in the field to collect data for various projects. They must be able to read and interpret survey plans, use survey equipment, and communicate effectively with the crew and clients. They must ensure the accuracy and quality of the data collected, as well as the safety of the crew. The Survey Party Chief is responsible for the following tasks:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the survey crew
• Read and interpret survey plans
• Set up and operate survey equipment
• Collect data in the field
• Ensure accuracy and quality of data collected
• Ensure safety of the crew
• Communicate effectively with the crew and clients
• Prepare reports and documents
