Surgical Technologist Full Time Days Jobs in Kansas

Clinical education and/or experience must meet one of the following criteria:

Communicates safe therapeutic care for patient throughout the patient’s perioperative experience.

Demonstrates effective communication, customer service, and team building skills.

Licensed Practical Nurse eligible to practice in Virginia with one year operating room experience

Trained Scrub/Operating Room Tech with a minimum of seven (7) years hospital operating room experience

Drapes patients and assists the surgical team during operative procedures.

Military experience will be considered, with certification prior to release from orientation.

Experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Nurse desired but not required.

Sets up individual cases correctly using doctor’s preference cards as a reference utilizing appropriate instruments and prosthetic devices.

Applies medical technology of anatomy and physiology correctly.

Employs proper aseptic techniques, demonstrates dexterity, and anticipates surgical team needs.

Operates sterilizers according to instruction or policy following hospital procedures.

High School Diploma or GED is required

Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.

Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and maintains certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Must successfully complete and maintain CPR

Mainly day shift (7a-730p but can be scheduled 730a-8p, 8a-830p or 10p-1030p)

May have to help with midnight coverage due to FMLA, Vacations or emergent scheduling needs

Performs CT studies with or without contrast

Insertion of IVs as needed for contrast injection

One year of experience as an Operating Room Technician preferred.

Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) certification preferred

National Center of Competency Testing (NCCT) certification preferred

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification

Good communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand the English language
