Surgical Scheduling Coordinator Days Contingent Jobs in Florida

Reviews benefits and educates patient on insurance coverage.

Completes referrals for patients and coordinates with referring and receiving practices and/or departments.

May coordinate and prepare financial estimates for patients.

Directs patients to providers in their insurance plan.

Coordinates and schedules surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, or other services within various departments with internal and ancillary providers.

Reviews schedules and confirms schedules are accurate and time is properly allocated.

Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered

Manages patient calls, works as a member of the front office team and assists in supporting other office personnel

Six months to one-year related experience and/or training

Hospital, clinical and office-based procedure scheduling experience

Knowledge of insurance authorization procedures

Strong computer skills that include but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Excel, Office 365
