Current Virginia EMT Certification and/or EMT National Registry

NRP certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Prepares and maintains the delivery room and operating room for specific obstetrics and gynecology procedures.

Obtains and sets up sterile field with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment for specific obstetrics and gynecology procedures.

Under the direction of the physician and guidance from RN, prepares the patient's abdomen, drape the sterile field, and passes instrumentation.

Performs appropriate surgical instrument counts with RN circulator.
