Overview Support Care Workers provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, and other special needs. They help clients with daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation. They also provide emotional support and guidance to clients and their families. Detailed Job Description Support Care Workers provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, and other special needs. They help clients with daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation. They also provide emotional support and guidance to clients and their families. Support Care Workers may also provide assistance with medication management, recreational activities, and other tasks as needed. They may also provide respite care for family members who need a break from caring for their loved one. Job Skills Required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to remain calm and patient in difficult situations
• Knowledge of disability and mental health issues
• Knowledge of community resources
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or mental health issues
• Ability to pass a background check
