Supply Chain Category Manager Jobs

3+ years’ experience in related fields for Category Managers (CPG Preferred)

Experience with retailer POS data necessary; shopper/loyalty card data desired 

Experienced with volume decomposition methodology 

Strong presentation skills to retail buyers

Develop customer-facing category presentations complete with actionable recommendations;

Present consumer, shopper and category insights in a comfortable, positive, influential manner

Hand on experience in Supply Chain management.

Implementing and managing supplier performance management processes with strategic suppliers.

Category experience is a must and will travel and go into the office 3 days a week.

Provide support to the Internal Combustion Engines global category from our client's North American base in New Iberia, Louisiana.

Project management expertise in the utility or related industry

Deep commodity or domain expertise with materials, construction services, EPC contracting, professional services procurement, sourcing, and/or project management

Supervises, plans, manages, and assumes complete responsibility for all activities and processes associated with the categories assigned.

Meeting with internal customers to understand their needs, requirements, and plans

7+ years of experience in procurement

Professional Certification, such as CPM or CPSM beneficial

Project management expertise in the utility or related industry

Critical member of the Category Management team providing support for all assigned business units,

negotiation and management, commercial negotiations, supplier relationship management support,

deployment of Category Management strategies.

Preferred: Advanced degree in business, management, or related field.

Required: A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or related field.

Preferred: 3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or related field.

Generate and execute Category strategies and Supplier Relationship Management programs consistent with the Client approved framework.

Utilize all Supply Chain technologies for Contract Management, SRM, and Spend Analysis.

Work closely with the Supplier Relationship Management Specialist for key suppliers under areas of responsibility.

Preferred: Advanced degree in business, management, or related field.

Develops supplier performance management and risk mitigation programs and related metrics across the company's spending portfolio.

Drives bottom-line results, improving service, risk, and quality, across managed categories.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Strong relational skills, and ability to structure a compelling business proposition.

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred.

Participates in the processes concerning negotiation, consultation on supplies, distribution agreements, awarding of agreements and supplier performance.
