Staff Veterinarian Jobs in Florida

Extensive zoological management experience with varied species of exotic animals including primates, avians, megavertebrates, and reptiles.

Extensive experience with zoological management, animal exhibition and federal and state laws governing animal exhibition.

Experience with animal welfare issues, theory and practice of animal management, professional guidelines, and industry standards of animal management.

Participate in meetings and relevant conversations regarding animal cases and medical management.

Assist with hospital management and supervision of team members.

DVM or equivalent degree from an AVMA accredited institution or ECFVG certification required.

Advanced Dentistry equipment and dental radiographs

Ability to schedule advanced procedures - ECHOS, Diagnostic ultrasound , referrals to specialties

Two table dedicated Surgery suite with advanced monitoring equipment and warming systems

Working knowledge of laboratory animal husbandry and facilities.

Experience with IACUC work and teaching/training.

Familiarity with surgical and medical procedures commonly performed in laboratory animals.
