Spanish Language Interpreter Ii Fulltime Jobs in Colorado

Relevant professional interpretation experience preferred.

Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations strongly preferred.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Track assignments and work hours within designated software.

Participate in trainings and assessments.

ACTFL Advanced High Proficiency, with excellent written and oral English and Spanish communication skills.

Demonstrated experience with translation and interpretation.

Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams

One year of previous experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role.

Office of Civil Rights, Department of Education

Masters in Spanish for Specific Purposes or related field.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

nowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

Knowledge with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Google Suite.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet district insurance requirements for travel throughout the district.

Perform Spanish consecutive or simultaneous interpretation throughout the district when assigned.

Mental and Emotional Requirements: Manages stress appropriately.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Certification(s): Certified as a Bridging the Gap (BTG) Medical Interpreter or equivalent is required at the time of hire

Participates in evaluations of new hires by providing feedback and observations to the manager.

Assists the department manager in completing assessments on ongoing training and overall interpretation or translation processes.
