Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education required
This opportunity is remote with preference if within a commutable distance to Reston, VA, San Antonio, TX or San Dimas, CA.
Analyze, recommend and design end-to-end enterprise systems composed of IT architecture, QTC developed software components, or commercial off the shelf capabilities
Create and deliver technical proposals and presentations for engineer reviews (e.g., requirements, design, test, operational readiness)
Assists in defining product requirements and creates high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms

Overview The Smors Principal Engineer Systems is responsible for leading the development and implementation of complex engineering projects and systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in engineering, system design, and project management. The Principal Engineer Systems will be responsible for developing and maintaining engineering standards, processes, and procedures, as well as providing technical guidance and support to other engineers. Detailed Job Description The Smors Principal Engineer Systems will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of complex engineering projects and systems. The Principal Engineer Systems will be responsible for developing and maintaining engineering standards, processes, and procedures, as well as providing technical guidance and support to other engineers. The Principal Engineer Systems will also be responsible for managing the engineering team, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• At least 10 years of experience in engineering, system design, and project management
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

• Knowledge of engineering standards, processes, and procedures
• Knowledge of computer software applications

• At least 10 years of experience in engineering, system design, and project management
