1st shift as scheduled.., flexible as needed

Direct live hogs from the trucks through the yards to the Kill Floor

Other duties as needed or required

- work well without direct supervision

Must be able to work with live hogs

Must be able to operate bobcat skid loader

Set up customer contracts, process invoices, transfer documents and perform data entry into proprietary company systems

Provide clear office communication with manager, employees, and patrons

Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a busy environment

Handle customer phone calls and walk-in traffic in a busy environment

Coordinate with our truck drivers and assistant with dispatch

Handle direct payments, reconcile credit card receipts and prepare deposits

Excellent meat cutting and knife skills required

Keep track and records log changes

Keep track of different codes for cattle

Keep track of the carcass rail weights

Ability to perform multiple fabrication jobs preferred

Must meet acceptable attendance and behavioral guidelines (2 points or less preferred for internal applicants)

Ensure customer specifications are met when shipping outbound materials and ensure customer pricing is correct before finishing transaction.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education & Experience

Assists Senior Bookkeeper and Transfer Station Manager with monthly commercial account billings and collections.

Pay range is $20.00 - $25.00/HR

Hours per week will be 40 hours. Monday - Friday ranging from 6:30am-6:30pm.

Weighs commercial trucks and vehicles in and out of the Transfer Station Site.

Accepts and records payments made via check, money order, or cash; prepares daily total receipt reports.

Communicate with plant management and staff upon arrival of trucks, and advise of any delays in trucking.

Provide administrative support for the sales team and plant management.

Proficiency with email and knowledge/experience with general computer applications

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Prior experience in the logistics field
