Listen to and timely assist management and Drivers

Six months of verifiable CMV driving experience, one year preferred

Walk the yard to identify and document [in the DVCR booklet] vehicle defects. Communicate maintenance needs to D&S Team Leaders [Daily]

Obtain tractor/trailer list from D&S, record odometer, hub readings, and engine hours from equipment, and send to lease company [Weekly]

Ensure trailers loaded with refrigerated products, i.e., cheese, chicken, etc., are at an adequate temperature.

Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager

5 or more years of experience in Hump Yard Engineering, Flat Yard Engineering, or Signal Yard Operations

10 or more years of experience in Hump Yard Engineering, Flat Yard Engineering, or Signal Yard Operations

Written and oral communication skills to interact with internal and external customers and suppliers

Prioritization skills. Ability to quickly assess issues and prioritize solutions

Microsoft Office skills (especially Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Required to work a set schedule that may be changed/modified by management based on the needs of the facility.

Strong safety orientation and proven record of complying with safety requirements

Experience in distribution center operations or previous warehouse experience

Experience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, yard truck, scrubbing sweeper)

Experience performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment
