Help on the overall maintenance of all Mercy Haven properties

Assist in the preparation of apartments for new/relocated residents and home improvement work

Perform routine maintenance, such as painting, wall repair, plumbing, electrical, window and door replacement, tile and cabinet work, etc.

Perform rehab of kitchens and bathrooms

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma

Salary: ($5,087 - $6,513/ monthly)

Length of Work Year: Full-time: 8 hours, Work Year: A , Work days/year: 244 days*

Works closely with team members to meet or exceed all customer service requirements.

2 years’ experience in a logistics, customer service or related field.

Proficient typing and PC Skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint etc.)

Superior attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

2 year prior logistics experience

Dispatch drivers for U.S. Domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries.

Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment, drug testing, criminal background investigations and physical.

Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) including appropriate endorsement(s).

Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data and information.

Knowledge of equipment used in maintenance, grounds keeping, and construction.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to safe operation of this equipment.

Operates various types of equipment including, but not limited to, trucks, tractors, skid steers, forklifts, dump trucks, etc.

Assist equipment operators in laying out work and with maintenance of machines.

Assists repair technicians and journeyman in duties. Assists in performing field maintenance and service work on equipment operated.

Assists trades and project workers in brick laying, pipe laying, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing and other construction tasks.

Water Distribution Manager I certification

Responds to public inquiries in a courteous manner, provides information within scope of knowledge, or refers to employee of higher classification.

Flagger certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire

First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Some knowledge of maintenance equipment, construction, and repair methods and procedures.

Some knowledge of safety standards and precautions related to the work. Ability to use the mechanical tools of the trade.
