Senior Inventory Cost Accountant Jobs in New York

Prepare financial statement level analytics and document meaningful explanations for fluctuations to help management with business decisions

Maintain and review liabilities, accruals and cost allocations and related sub-ledgers

Remote within the Eastern or Central timezones will be considered for exception candidates.

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance

4-6 years of experience in a similar environment

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Partner with operations management to understand performance, optimize operational decisions, design, and execute long-range strategies, and manage cost improvement opportunities.

Solid skills and knowledge of accounting (GAAP) principles

Strong knowledge base and working skills with cost accounting, standard costing, standard setting, COGS, inventory accounting

Outstanding analytical skills and abilities

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree with CPA/MBA preferred

Minimum of 8+ years of experience required

·Strong analytical and time management skills, with close attention to detail

·Create budgeting reports for different company's departments and present them to senior management.

·Develop cost-effective solutions and present them to senior management.

·Retrieve cost information and manage company's expenses databases.

·3+ years' experience of working on a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant, or similar position.

·Significant experience with accounting procedures.
