Senior Engineer Manufacturing Jobs in California

Manage consumer NPI mechanical and thermal component qualification, manufacturing technology management and MP readiness.

Strong project management skills, familiar with NPI process, ability to drive multiple parts and aspect of products manufacturing process development simultaneously

Experience in functional tolerancing evaluation, GD&T, Creo, or similar CAD software to sophisticated assemblies, excellent interpersonal skills

Perform surveys and audits for new supplier selection and qualification with functional teams.

B.S. degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience; M.S. preferred

In depth knowledge of commonly used industrial design decoration manufacturing technology capability, material selection, and related tooling/mold technologies

Deep knowledge/experience of functional test HW from design, develop, validation to MP implementation

Good knowledge of board manufacturing flow, proven test HW capability and experience and results

Evaluate the capabilities of test HW suppliers, consolidate supplier partnership, and validate/coordinate with global team

Master degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or other related fields

Experience in prod functional test HW setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Plan and execute qualification and validation activities (TMVs, IQs, OQs, and PQs).

Experience with NADCAP quality management system requirements for composite molding and bonding

Experience with AS9100 quality management system

Be able to make technical, data-driven decisions and execute with limited management support

Understand, follow and adhere to corporate Quality Management System on a daily basis.

Experience with Minitab, Made to Manage (or other ERP systems), and ply nesting software (Cutworks, Patternsmith, etc.),

Create production planning in Made 2 Manage ERP system, Item Masters, Bill of Materials, Routers, etc.

· 12 years of relevant experience, to include 5 years of people management experience

· Apply appropriate risk management process, per company Risk Management process

· Builds and organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.

· Excellent organizational and managerial skills.

· Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.

Capabilities Expected for Hire or Promotion to this Level

Experience with ISO 9001 requirements, thorough knowledge of “corrective action process”

Minimum 3 years’ experience in programming, tooling and/or fixture design in the metal cutting industry.

Experience on defining machining process with multiple operations, milling, turning, etc.

Experience with multi 5 axis machine controls

Direct hands-on experience interacting with machine shop floor activities in a fast, dynamic environment.

Expert knowledge of 4 and 5 axis CNC machining center programming.
