Senior Bioinformatics Research Scientist Jobs in New York

Hands-on device management experience (in addition to research experience)

Perform internal review and manage external peer review of funding opportunities

Two years of postdoctoral training or relevant work experience preferred

Expertise and experience in diabetes devices (e.g. AP systems, insulin pumps, CGMs, algorithms), including but not limited to:

Experience as a clinician managing patients with diabetes devices. (Note that clinical experience must be complemented by research experience as well.)

Excellent written and oral communication skills

PhD in Metallurgy, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience.

Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills in a global team environment.

Experience in the use of high resolution characterization techniques (such as TEM) in materials development toward industrial research and development projects.

Experience leading programs funded through government agencies.

Participate in technology road mapping and competitive assessment to drive new technology programs.

Participate in the shaping, cultivation and execution of government contracts.

Strong project management, planning and organizational skills

Perform any other job related tasks as requested by division management or supervisor.

Research responsibilities as project manager/project principal

Manage communications and project-related administrative work with consultants, collaborating organizations, and other research partners as needed

Carry out public education activities (e.g., seminars, university lectures, “brown bags,” etc.)

Recent doctoral graduates as well as more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
