Project management experience or Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or certification must be obtained within the first 12-24 months).

BA / BS degree with preferred focus on Sourcing & Logistics, and/or equivalent work experience.

5-10 years' demonstrated procurement experience required.

Experience in negotiating agreements/contracts with strong comprehension of legal and commercial terms and conditions.

Strong sourcing expertise and experienced in buy category.

Experience in working with intellectual property concepts and contractual language.

Working knowledge of a computer-based inventory management systems - REQUIRED (Oracle experience is a plus)

Leverages management input to ensure target levels are achieved to maximize profit margins.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

Develops, evaluates and manages supplier relationships to accomplish material cost, availability, and inventory goals. Investigates and qualifies suppliers.

5-8 years’ experience as a Buyer of Concrete and Chemicals - REQUIRED

Basic Microsoft Excel skills - REQUIRED

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, or Supply Chain Management preferred, five to seven years related experience.

Ability to quickly and accurately generate action requirements based on Planning System outputs.

Certification preferredeither APICS or ISM.

Experience in ERP/MRP environment; Epicor software a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inform at all levels of the organization.

Lead or function as a team member on cross-functional teams to develop and execute new product.
