Detailed Job Description The Section 8 Occupancy Specialist is responsible for managing the Section 8 housing program for a local housing authority. The Occupancy Specialist also works with landlords to ensure that all rental units meet the standards of the program. • Knowledge of Section 8 housing program regulations and procedures

• Ability to interpret and apply regulations

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or a related field

• At least two years of experience in housing management or a related field

• Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
