Overview A Section 8 Occupancy Specialist is responsible for managing the Section 8 housing program for a local housing authority. This includes ensuring that all tenants meet the eligibility requirements for the program, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records. The Occupancy Specialist also works with landlords to ensure that all rental units meet the standards of the program. Detailed Job Description The Section 8 Occupancy Specialist is responsible for managing the Section 8 housing program for a local housing authority. This includes ensuring that all tenants meet the eligibility requirements for the program, processing applications, and maintaining accurate records. The Occupancy Specialist also works with landlords to ensure that all rental units meet the standards of the program. The Occupancy Specialist is also responsible for conducting inspections of rental units, resolving tenant complaints, and providing information and assistance to tenants. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or a related field
• At least two years of experience in housing management or a related field
