Job Description of Secondary School Psychologist A Secondary School Psychologist is a mental health professional who works with students in grades 6-12 to promote mental health and well-being. They provide assessment, counseling, and consultation services to students, families, and school staff. They also collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement interventions to address student needs. Job Skills Required

• Knowledge of child and adolescent development

• Knowledge of mental health and psychological assessment

• Knowledge of evidence-based interventions

• Ability to collaborate with school staff and other professionals

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries

Job Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field

• State licensure or certification in Psychology or Counseling

• Experience working with children and adolescents

• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
