OTAs are responsible for providing direct therapy services, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing support to students and their families.

School Occupational Therapy Assistants are responsible for providing direct occupational therapy services to students in a school setting. This includes assessing students’ needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing support to students and their families. OTAs also collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, and other school staff to ensure that students are receiving the best possible care. Other duties may include providing training and education to school staff, participating in IEP meetings, and providing consultation services.
