Sampling Laser Operator Jobs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

One or more years of experience in sampling aerospace related commodities with knowledge of sampling equipment or related experience.

Basic knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical fluid, pneumatic, hydraulic, cryogenic, and hypergolic aerospace systems.

Repair, maintain, set-up, purge and prepare sampling equipment for certification and calibrations.

Must be able to pass the following KSC-provided physicals

Possession of/ability to; qualify for Florida Commercials Driver’s License, Class C

Keeps self-current with laboratory trends and techniques, including biosafety and IATA 1.5 diagnostic shipping training and certification.

HS/GED + 3 years laboratory experience in academic, industry, clinical, research, or veterinary lab.

Prepares protocol specific, visit specific, collection materials and delivers for next day usage to location customers.

Processes routine liquid preparations and also has the potential to support more complex preparations with some degree of supervision.

Prepares shipments of biological samples for external central labs and other vendors that are performing offsite analysis.

Collects, organizes and files protocol specific data on a weekly basis.

Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.

Quality Management- Understands & supports the company and/or department quality policy & objectives.

Responsible for data entry input of order forms as assigned.

Responsible for working in a cooperative, safe and productive manner with managers and employees.

Knowledge of standard terminology, techniques, and practices of drafting

Understands the legal requirements, company and/or department processes and penalties associated with both the Air and Hazardous Materials permits.
