Associates Degree (two-year degree) or certification program of comparable length in construction management or civil engineering or related field.

Knowledge of utility design, engineering, construction and surveying techniques, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience with complicated practices and precedents.

General knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, data bases, word processing.

Working knowledge of geographic information systems.

Knowledge of the equipment and standard practices of both boring and trenching work used in installing various utilities.
