Residential Counselor – Interim Housing Jobs

Previous, related experience in an educational organization, business, or government agency providing support to customer service and operations functions.

Knowledge of modern office routines, procedures, methods, equipment, and machines and devices and ability to adapt these to the department.

Reviews and responds to messages in the department email account

Serves on various committees to represent the department

Organizes and orders staff apparel and uniforms.

Oversees and schedules the day-to-day activities of student personnel within the office. May supervise student office assistants.

Proven professional experience and educational background.

Knowledge of Interim Housing (crisis housing, bridge housing, etc.).

Experience with system change and leading system integration efforts.

Demonstrated experience observing and analyzing trends for systems change.

Ability to learn concepts and skills necessary to work towards the project and system goals.

Ability to think critically and strategically, balancing client needs, end user experience, and system goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Associates degree or equivalent education and experience is preferred

Knowledge/operation of copier and various office machinery

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel

General computer skills and ability to learn new computer software such as housing data systems, BANNER, etc.

Two years experience in an administrative position is required
