Resident Minister Jobs in California

Knowledge and experience working with co-occurring populations (chronic health conditions, mental health and substance abuse).

Knowledge and experience with motivational interviewing, evidence-based practices, including trauma informed care framework.

Proven professional experience and educational background.

Ability to work independently as one point of contact connecting clients with housing navigators, while remaining empathetic.

Ability to complete applications to obtain ids and Social Security cards for clients.

Ability to navigate government websites to assist clients acquire necessary documentation.

Be available as part of the residence hall emergency response team when necessary.

Meet regularly with Residence Hall staff at regularly scheduled staff meetings, facilitate reflection, and support staff in community development and programming.

Provide support and reflection opportunities for students connected to living learning, themed, and academic program communities.

Up to 8-10 hours of weekly availability during UM office working hours for program-related work.

Rotate as part of the post-liturgy social team.

Attend RM orientation in August, retreats, regularly scheduled meetings, in-services, theological reflection sessions,, and training opportunities.
