Detailed Job Description A Resident Care Assistant is responsible for providing direct care to residents in long-term care facilities. This includes providing assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. RCAs also provide companionship and emotional support to residents. They may also help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other tasks as needed. RCAs must be able to recognize changes in a resident’s condition and report any changes to the appropriate staff. Job Skills Required
