Organizing and general management of the mouse colony.

Experience handling mice is desirable

Experience with basic laboratory techniques or methods, especially cell culture is a plus

Excellent organizational skills and record keeping

Demonstrated ability to manage different projects simultaneously with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and independently prioritize assignments

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 commensurate with lab/research experience

Research work experience in fields related to biomedical imaging.

Experience in the following is desired, but not required: confocal microcopy, neuro-imaging, electrophysiology, light sheet microscopy, light field microscopy.

Minimum of bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Physics, Biophysics, Electrical Engineering, and related fields.

Prepare chemical solutions for experimental use.

Handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.

Maintain and organize laboratory supplies. Monitors inventory levels and orders or secures supplies as needed.

Maintain research facility in orderly, operable condition. Maintains security and safety of equipment, samples, specimens and data.

Conduct library research to assist in the planning and design of experiments.

Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Must have experience with project management

Excellent organizational and managerial skills

Effective multi-tasking skills (e.g., able to manage multiple projects simultaneously)

Experience with psychological/behavioral research design, participant recruitment, data collection, IRB submissions specifically pertaining to caregiving research

MUST have experience communicating with dementia family caregivers and dementia care experts

Experience training and supervising undergraduate and graduate-level lab personnel

Monitor, maintain and manage transgenic mouse lines or mice on study needed for research projects

On site location (no remote work)

Assist post-docs and graduate students in executing protocols for phenotypic characterization of mice

Assist post-docs and graduate students in standard laboratory techniques including immunohistochemistry, PCR, and Western blotting

Prepare experimental materials using laboratory protocols and safety guidelines

Prepares solutions, reagents, and media for experimental use
