Assist AVA Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.

Minimum of two years of experience in related experience.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.

Ability to work in a fast past environment.

Actively searches for solutions to problems and presents ideas and recommendations to Management.

Minimum of 2 years knowledge of insurance verification and eligibility experience. (Required)

Spine/Orthopedic medicine billing knowledge and experience (Preferred)

Knowledge and experience with Novitasphere, Availity, etc. (Preferred)

Knowledge and experience with Athena EMR. (Preferred, but not required)

2-3 years of experience in Billing and AR collections; preferably in physician office setting. (Required)

Intermediate motor abilities for the operation of calculator, typewriter, and computer terminal. Accuracy is essential.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Moderate mathematical proficiency required to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and calculation of percentages. Accuracy is essential.

Ability to apply problem-solving techniques.

High degree of assertiveness and determination required.

Reviews and edits more complex and non-routine claims. Identifies and communicates problems regarding claims. Maintains pending claims at minimal levels.
