Overview Registered Nurse Emergency Department (RNED) is a specialized nursing role that provides care to patients in the emergency department of a hospital. RNEDs are responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in a timely and efficient manner. They must be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Detailed Job Description Registered Nurse Emergency Department (RNED) is responsible for providing care to patients in the emergency department of a hospital. RNEDs must assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a timely and efficient manner. They must be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. RNEDs must be able to recognize and respond to changes in a patient’s condition and provide appropriate interventions. They must be able to communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and provide patient education. Job Skills Required• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC certification
• Minimum of two years of experience in an emergency department setting
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Knowledge of emergency department protocols
• Knowledge of patient assessment and diagnosis
• Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Knowledge of medical equipment and technology
Job Experience
• Minimum of two years of experience in an emergency department setting
• Experience in patient assessment and diagnosis
• Experience in pharmacology and medication administration
• Experience in providing patient education
• Experience in working with a variety of medical equipment and technology
